Insurance
& Billing
If you are planning to have this visit covered by insurance, please contact your carrier to verify that BOTH the provider and the service are eligible under your plan and insurance contract prior to this appointment. Ultimately your insurance coverage is a contract between you and your insurance carrier; it is important to be versed in the details and exclusions of your specific contract and plan. Our providers are in contract with most insurance companies, including Medicaid. We are not covered by Medicare.
Please note: when providers take insurance, there is a contract that legally binds providers to bill and code according to that insurance company’s terms. This means that if you are being treated for any concerns in your visit, it will be billed accordingly. Therefore, while you may have come in for a well visit/annual exam, you will be billed a separate visit for the concerns.
Although we work as a collective here at Eastside Natural Medicine PLLC, several providers are separate business entities. As such, we may bill separately, utilize different billing services, and maintain different insurance contracts. We may maintain contracts with insurance companies, but that does not mean your individual contract with the insurance company covers our services.
Although our office offers primary care services, all our practitioners are naturopathic physicians. Certain insurance plans categorize naturopathic physicians as specialists, regardless of the care provided. Generally, insurance covers preventive services like vaccines, annual exams, and well-child checks fully, while other services depend on your specific benefits. Regrettably, we can't influence how your insurance processes our services. However, you can contact your insurance provider directly for further clarification.
The best way to contact our billing team will be via email at: billing@eastsidenaturalmedicine.com
Please be prepared to pay your copay or coinsurance at the time of service.
We accept cash, check, or credit card for payment. Some providers are willing to work on a sliding scale or a time-of-service discount for uninsured patients.
